Coal Authority launches tender for £6.5m engineering framework

The Coal Authority renews its master engineering services contract, related to the effects of past mining activity, for 2022-2026.
The £6.5 million four-year engineering services framework agreement is divided into 11 lots.
In a recent contract notice, the Coal Authority said it was looking to appoint multiple suppliers for the provision of services on an “as and when required” basis.
Services will include cause-of-failure investigations, condition assessment, damage quantification and design of solutions for damage to roads, bridges, buildings and drainage land caused by mining. anterior.
Potential areas of engineering expertise are listed as civil, structural, geotechnical, mining, mechanical, and electrical. In addition, other services may be required, including environmental, health and safety, procurement, agriculture, hydrology, hydrogeology and specialist advice on land drainage related to past subsidence liabilities in coal mines.

Interested companies can bid for all or part of the lots available.
The deadline for submitting offers is March 4 at 5 p.m.
