Royals fear any plans for Harry and Meghan to return to the UK with their children for the Platinum Jubilee weekend could overshadow the Queen’s special event, it has been reported.
The couple are currently in the Netherlands for the Invictus Games, having made a secret visit to Windsor Castle earlier this week.
High-level sources say the top-secret visit is believed to be an attempt by Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, to ensure they are “front and center” during Jubilee events in June.
The couple’s daughter Lilibet has never met her family in Britain, and their son Archie has not visited the UK since November 2019.

“Many are disappointed that Andrew has overshadowed Prince Philip’s thanksgiving service and don’t want the Meghan and Harry circus to hijack the Jubilee.
“This is the Queen’s show and should be about her and her 70 years of service rather than the fashion of Meghan, the children and Harry.
“They don’t want this to become the Harry and Meghan show. Charles and the whole family agree on that.
Harry and Meghan are currently being filmed at the Invictus Games as part of their £113million deal with Netflix, which will show exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the Games when the documentary airs.
Because of the show, the royal family fears that Netflix will push to film the Sussexes at the Queen is the celebration.
An insider added: “The Royal Family will be monitoring Invictus events this week regarding where Netflix will be when Jubilee rolls around.
“They’ll want to film behind the scenes or be in the crowd at Jubilee as the best footage for the documentary.”

It’s unclear if Netflix or Harry and Meghan have made Jubilee plans yet.
Harry and Meghan’s appearance at the Invictus Games today comes after their secret visit to Windsor Castle earlier this week.
Harry is thought to have arranged the reunion at short notice and arrived on Wednesday to stay at Frogmore Cottage before reuniting with Prince Charles and the Queen.
His meeting with Father Charles was said to have been brief as the 73-year-old royal was busy preparing for the Maundy Thursday service where he stood in for the Queen.
According to an insider, the couple’s meeting with Prince Charles was “reluctant” and they were “not exactly welcomed with open arms”.
However, another said: ‘Charles maintains that Harry is still a much loved son.

After Charles and Camilla left the meeting, Harry and Meghan then spoke to the Queen for a much longer period, between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Prince William was not at Windsor Castle to meet his brother as he would be on a skiing holiday with Kate and their children.
Last night Meghan left Harry on the verge of tears after paying a loving tribute to her ‘amazing husband’ and sharing a sweet kiss at the Invictus Games.
Harry looked smart in a gray suit with an open collared shirt while Meghan teamed dark trousers with a £620 off-the-shoulder white suit by Khaite and a £12,800 Cartier necklace.
They both addressed the crowd in the arena at the opening ceremony, with Meghan taking the stage first.
She said to the crowd: “Good evening everyone. We are very grateful to the Netherlands for welcoming us and hosting the Invictus Games.
“For each team, my husband and I recognize that it took a long time to get there both physically and emotionally, especially for the Ukrainian team which we all support – we spoke about it yesterday slava ukraini.
“One thing I know for sure is that every moment it took to get here will be worth it.

“He is the founder of the Invictus Games and the father of our two little ones, Archie and Lili. Please welcome my amazing husband, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.
