Steel Products Policy (DMI&SP) for the promotion of Made in India Steel Sourcing; Notification of the scrap steel recycling policy to improve the availability of domestically produced scrap; Issuance of steel quality control orders to stop the manufacture and import of unstandardized steel; Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS) for pre-registration of steel imports; Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI) for Special Steel with an expenditure of Rs 6,322 crore; Creation of a project development unit within the ministry to attract and facilitate investment in the steel sector.
