NEW ULM — Goaltender Willmar WarHawks Cooper Olson earned his third shutout of the season in Friday’s 4-0 NA3HL win over New Ulm Steel.
The Maple Grove goaltender made 23 saves in the win. He is 11-3-0 this season with a 2.06 goals-against average and .933 save percentage.
The WarHawks took a 3-0 lead after the first period with goals from Nolan Grier, Tyler Misialek and Anthony Foster. Foster scored another goal in the third.
Teams resume their weekend series at 7:10 p.m. Saturday at Willmar Civic Center Arena.
