Marubeni launches the sale of the carbon neutral aluminum ingot, “Neutr-Al”
Marubeni Corporation announces the start of sales of its carbon neutral aluminum ingot called “Neutr-Al” in Japan.
In recent years, reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions has been a critical factor in doing business, as current economic demand has increased since global climate status became a more pressing issue. The Japanese government has announced that Japan will reduce its GHG emissions to net zero by 2050 and, as such, there is now an increasing need for companies to reduce their GHG emissions. As a result, people in all industries are looking for effective methods to do this.
“Neutr-Al” is an aluminum ingot that neutralizes its GHG emissions from bauxite extraction, alumina production, aluminum smelting and its transport to Japan. The bullion uses carbon credits per carbon, which are created by GHG reduction and / or absorption activities in Japan and abroad, to monitor the gg created in its production.
Using Marubeni’s extensive knowledge of aluminum and carbon credit, “Neutr-Al” will remove barriers to GHG reduction by calculating GHG emissions, suggesting the most reasonable GHG reduction method and removing one-shot carbon credits in Marubeni to help transition to a carbon neutral society.
