Nostalgic night for Nashville native Deana Carter to headline the Ryman Auditorium to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her debut album 5X Platinum “Did I shave my legs for this?” »And his first single” Strawberry Wine “awarded with 2 times Platinum CMA Award
Before the show, Deana was surprised backstage by the president of Universal Music Group Cindy mabe, who presented him with a 2X platinum plaque for his first successful CMA award-winning single “Strawberry Wine”.
“My 25th anniversary show at the Ryman last night was like a dream,” Carter recalls. “So many friends and family, loyal fans and I have felt so much love in my favorite community room, in the best place in the world! Such an honor and celebration. I am still floating! Thanks to UMe / Capitol Nashville, all of my very special guest artists, staff, crew, band and crew. Everyone from the 90s to today I’m so grateful! Thank you to everyone who made every dream come true that I have never had and for making such a remarkable step possible. THANKS from the bottom of my heart !! “
It was a night filled with great songs and tales from Carter and very special collaborations with Breland and Kylie Morgan on “Strawberry wine”, Terri clark on “Did I shave my legs for this?” ” Brandon heath on “That’s How You Know It’s Love” and a song that Deana and Charles Esten wrote which was featured on the hit ABC drama series NASHVILLE titled “I know how to love you now”.
One of the most emotional moments of the evening came when Carter paid tribute to the legacy of his late father and leading guitarist. Fred Carter, Jr., with a breathtaking mix of songs he’s performed on, including “Cryin ‘(Roy Orbison), “The Boxer” (Simon & Garfunkel) and “Help me through the night” (Sammi smith) and written by Kris kristofferson.
