Ovation office building to be celebrated with ‘cutoff’ ceremony lifting the last steel beam on Monday
The last steel beam will be lifted tomorrow on the Class A office building at Ovation, a 100,000 square foot building offering retail to plaza level.
Corporex will commemorate the ‘crowning glory’ with a ceremony for its latest addition to Development Ovation at 3pm at the site.
The new Class A office building at Ovation is Phase II of the development, consisting of an adjacent hotel – a 132-room Homewood Suites by Hilton that will include select skyline-view suites, a fitness area and two bars – one located on the roof and the other at plaza level. In total, the hotel and office building represent an investment of $ 53 million.
The ceremony will begin with opening remarks from Corporex executives Dan Sink and Tom Banta. Ahead of the ceremony, local city and county officials and members of the Corporex leadership team will sign the beam – painted in Ovation Orange – before it is put in place. The final steel beam will be lifted by a crane onto the office building.
Ovation’s overall development consists of 25 acres of land in Newport, at the southeast intersection of the Ohio and Licking rivers.
The mixed-use development offers stunning views of the Cincinnati skyline and surrounding bridges. When completed, Ovation will span 25 acres and 4.5 city blocks along the Ohio River in northern Kentucky. The development will include more than 1,000 residential units, restaurants, retail, hotels and offices.
