Vedanta Aluminum launches ‘#GreenHearts’ planting campaign for Van Mahotsav week
Van Mahotsav, also known as the Forest Festival, is an annual tree planting celebration observed in the first week of July.
The initiative, rolled out as part of the Vedanta Cares Green Cover project, has a two-pronged goal – to unite people in hope for a better future as the pandemic has affected everyone, and to encourage people to plant young trees in solidarity with the Covid warriors and in memory of those who lost the fight against the dreaded virus.
The Vedanta Cares Green Cover initiative was launched on World Environment Day, with the goal of planting one million trees across the country. The #GreenHearts campaign is an initiative by Vedanta Aluminum Business to rally people across the country to come together and plant a seedling of hope for a better, greener future.
