Velodyne Lidar, Inc. (Nasdaq: VLDR) today launched its latest innovation in its broad line of lidar sensors, the Velarray H800. The solid-state Velarray H800 is engineered for automotive-grade performance and built using Velodyne’s patented and revolutionary Micro-Lidar Array (MLA) architecture. With a combined long-range perception and wide field of view, this sensor is designed for safe navigation and collision avoidance in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous mobility applications. The compact, integrable form factor of the Velarray H800 is designed to fit perfectly behind the windshield of a truck, bus or car, or to be mounted seamlessly on the exterior of the vehicle . The Velarray H800 will be available at high production levels with a target price of less than $ 500 to drive wide adoption in the consumer and utility vehicle markets.
